The publication is updated annually and contains a compilation of archival data for over 50 indicators in 75 Arkansas counties. These indicators are measures of risk factors based on the work of J. David Hawkins and Richard F. Catalano at the University of Washington's Social Development Research Group. These risk factors have been found to be precursors of substance abuse through multiple longitudinal studies and are also related to other risk behaviors such as juvenile delinquency and violence.
